We made a choice — to slow down, simplify, and raise our kids surrounded by nature. That decision led us to the laid-back coastal town of Hawks Nest, NSW, where life moves with the rhythm of the tides.

Ettiene is an avid fisherman, happiest with a rod in hand and the ocean breeze in his face. Liza, on the other hand, thrives on the rush of cycling, running and anything that gets the heart racing. Two different passions, but one shared love — the great outdoors.

Here on the coast, we found the perfect balance of both worlds. Inspired by this lifestyle, we created Reels and Wheels — a local business built around helping people explore, unwind and enjoy the best of this beautiful area.

What started with a love for bikes, fishing and coastal adventure has grown into a mix of bicycle and e-bike servicing, repairs, rentals and outdoor gear. Our workshop is at the heart of what we do, keeping bikes safe, reliable and ready for the road, beach tracks and coastal paths.

Alongside our repair and servicing work, we offer e-bike rentals, mountain bike hire, fishing gear hire and a Hobie kayak with Mirage Drive, giving locals and visitors an easy way to enjoy the outdoors without bringing all the gear themselves.

Our journey has also opened the door to partnerships with trusted outdoor and cycling brands, allowing us to offer quality e-bikes, accessories and outdoor essentials for sale.

What began as our dream to live slower and share what we love has become an invitation — to explore, connect and experience the coast your way.
